WILDWOOD
Christian Schoolhouse
Preparing children for life through meaningful learning.
A Christ-centered homeschool hybrid and learning community
-
At Wildwood, we believe childhood is not something to rush through—it’s something to preserve.
Instead of rigid classrooms and one-size-fits-all learning, we offer:
Time in nature, where curiosity comes alive
Meaningful academics rooted in real life
A close-knit, Christ-centered community
Space for creativity, exploration, and wonder
Support for each child’s unique, God-given path
This is education that prepares children not just for school—but for life.
-
Mornings begin with focused learning—reading, writing, math, and discovery.
Afternoons open up into exploration—nature walks, hands-on projects, life skills, and shared experiences.
Children learn to think, create, problem-solve, and build relationships that matter.
-
We partner with:
Homeschool families seeking support and community
Families new to homeschooling who want guidance
Parents looking for a more meaningful, whole-child education
Enrollment is Now Open!
We are excited to announce that enrollment is now open for the inaugural class of Wildwood Christian Schoolhouse!
Families may begin the enrollment process online today. If you have any questions along the way, please don't hesitate to reach out to Megan at megan@schoolhousecommunity.com.
As applications come in, we are intentionally praying over each family and child who may become part of this first Wildwood community. We are grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside families as we begin this journey together and look forward to seeing who God brings to Wildwood Christian Schoolhouse.
We can't wait to meet you!
More Than Education
At Wildwood, we offer something deeper than academics. We offer a childhood rooted in wonder, connection and purpose.
meaningful learning
We focus on understanding—not memorization. Children engage with ideas, ask questions, and learn how to think.
Nature-based experiences
We believe some of the best learning happens outside. Through exploration, observation, and play, children develop confidence, curiosity, and resilience.
Life Skills
From teamwork to problem-solving, children learn skills they’ll carry into adulthood.
Community
Families aren’t just enrolled—they belong. We build relationships that extend beyond the classroom.
What Is a Homeschool Hybrid?
A homeschool hybrid is a partnership between home and school—combining the flexibility of homeschooling with the support and community of a shared learning environment.
At Wildwood, students attend in-person learning days twice a week, while families continue their child’s education at home on the remaining days.
A Partnership with Families
Wildwood is not meant to replace homeschooling—it’s designed to come alongside you.
Parents remain deeply involved in their child’s education, while we provide:
Structure and rhythm during the school days
Guidance in core academic areas
Meaningful, hands-on learning experiences
A consistent, Christ-centered community
Together, we create a more complete and connected learning experience.
What Happens on School Days?
During our time together, students will:
Build strong foundations in reading, writing, and math
Learn in small groups and receive individualized support
Spend time outdoors exploring and discovering
Engage in hands-on projects, life skills, and creative work
Grow in relationships with peers and mentors
What Happens at Home?
On non-school days, families continue learning at home.
Students will complete assigned core work to stay on track and continue progressing throughout the week. This may include:
Practicing reading, writing, and math skills introduced at Wildwood
Reinforcing concepts through simple, meaningful assignments
Reading together as a family
Our goal is to provide enough structure to support consistent growth—while still leaving room for your family’s unique homeschool rhythm.
Why Families Choose a Hybrid Model
Many families are looking for:
A balance of home life and community
Support in teaching core subjects
Social interaction in a meaningful, small-group setting
A more flexible, family-centered approach to education
A homeschool hybrid offers all of this—while still giving you the freedom and influence that makes homeschooling so valuable.
The Heart Behind It
At its core, a homeschool hybrid allows children to experience the best of both worlds—learning at home and growing within a community.
It’s a model that supports families, builds relationships, and preserves childhood while preparing children for life through meaningful learning.
